The Irony of Battle Ground

Have you ever wondered how the illustrious SW Washington town of Battle Ground got it's name? I sure have. But thanks to Wikipedia, we no longer have to wonder.
I love Wikipedia, there is such a large amount of interesting information on there that it LITERALLY boggles my mind. So if you see me walking down the street with a boggled head, you'll know why.

Did you hear about all the controversy surrounding Wiki? Apparently there have been people out to prove a point that with Wiki you can basically make anything true by posting it on there and getting enough people to believe it.

I want a Boggle-head Justin! I'll put it on the dashboard of my pickup...

because you got me all excited about finally knowing what battle ground might be all about... then dashed my hopes by just talking about wikipedia. i'm not going there to read about battle ground. how bout a summary?

OK, so we have Tre with a "Boggle" head Justin...is that where there are a bunch of dice that have the letters of Justin's last name and you have to try to form words with how the dice form?

And is it really too much work to click a link?

Justin on Aug 7, 2006 4:00pm

Sorry Rainbow, no summary just click the link and read the "Origin of the Name Battle Ground" part.
Wikipedia has been controversial and I wouldn't base any serious research projects on it, but studies have found it to be as realiable as any other encyclopedia. I think the "Criticism and controversy" section of the Wikipedia article on itself sums it up well.
