drugged up
my mom is really scared about giving birth... well shes just deathly afraid of needles and the thought of getting an epidural makes her cringe! the other drugs they offer can cause harm to her and me as well.... we would feel more drugged up than with an epidural too. for those of you who dont know, an epidural is an IV that goes into your spine!!! ahhhh! well, shes got some more time to prepare for that, i wont be coming for a few more weeks...

Hey . . . I had one of those in October . . . (not baby), but epidural. I, too, had heard all about them and wasn't excited about it. It turned out to be ok. It was quick for sure and then no feeling. The part that worried me was they had said it would wear off in two hours. As three and four hours came around and still hadn't got feeling back, I thought that they had probably messed it up permanently. But, I guess it is variable on the time it takes to gety over the shot.
So, don't think aobut it. They'll be other things to think about at the time anyway!
