big girl now!
we are thinking of getting dahlia a big girl bed. just havent decided which kind yet. every morning we hear her jumping up and down and running back and forth in her crib. i cant believe she hasnt climbed out yet, it is only a matter of time before she does. but if we do put her in a bed, we would have to put a gate up in the doorway so she doesnt come into the rest of the house at who knows when. and add more toys to her room so she can stay occupied... and maybe a diaper and some wipes to clean herself up so we can sleep in (= we are just wondering if she will come to the gate and just yell for us till we come get her.... so we shall see. it is so crazy that she is a big girl now! she will be 2 in a month, oh my goodness!! she is becoming such a sweet little girl.... i wonder if i will be saying that in a few months? maybe we will be the luckiest parents around who dont have a terrible two year old (= i doubt it.
dahlia has never let us leave her in the nursery at church. every time we try she freaks out. even if we just go towards the door she gets suspicious. but a few weeks ago she didnt seem to care. justin just left and dahlia didnt even look back. i came down later to bring valen in to play and she didnt really acknowlege me. then the next week we took her to the toddler class and she went running in! and when we came to pick her up, she just kept playing. this is so awesome! now it will actually be worth going to church! i am usually in the mommy lounge all service with valen so now that dahlia can be a big girl, justin will get to enjoy the sermon and maybe talk to a few people besides.

Aloria used to freak out at being left in nursery too...I don't remember how old she was when we finally made her stay. Our motto was, if she's crying so hard she can't be consoled and she's not getting a good breath...come get us. ...and they did! She would be all blotchy and snotty...very sad! Now she doesn't mind though. I think we'll start earlier with this next one. We didn't introduce Aloria to the nursery until she was already in the "I'm scared of strangers" stage. Poor Aloria...the first kid always seems to let you know what not to do or what to do with the next one. One big experiment!
